My work is inspired by the everyday casualties and tragedies portrayed via the media.  The focal point of my work is on the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives during the latest Middle Eastern tour.  I want my work
to serve as a memorial, where an audience can reflect upon and remember those soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the War in Iraq and Afghanistan.

My current collection attempts to integrate the obituary section of the newspaper, juxtaposed with collage and paint. The use of minimal lines and geometric shapes helps focus the viewer’s attention on the importance of the subject matter, while preserving the integrity of the newspaper clippings.

In Fall 2007 I received my B.A. in Studio Art from the California State University at Long Beach. In 2004 I received an A.A. degree in Art History from Santa Monica College.
